It started in Pinglin, but it won't end in Pinglin.

As a Pinglin native, I was carried into the tea plantations before I could even walk. But as a child, I didn't like it here. The mountains were too high, the village too small. Every day was the same road, the same tea plantations, the same season. So back then, I always gazed at the other side of the mountain, wanting to go further, and even further.
I once left this mountain. I never thought that after traveling far and wide, I would eventually return to the embrace of tea.

Some things have never left.

The mountains never asked me to stay, yet I returned. Only after leaving did I realize that time here had also been marching forward.
The mountains are still the same mountains, and the tea fields are still that same green. My father's hands never rested, nor did my mother's. Five generations of footsteps, treading on the same land. What we inherit is never just the tea trees, but also hope.

WHAT WE DO

What has been passed down through five generations is not only the method of making tea, but also the understanding of tea accumulated over generations. Starting with tea, we delve into the study of tea leaves, terroir, flavors, and production processes, and also rethink what tea can look like today. We explore more possibilities, hoping to bring tea closer to daily life, and also allow the excellent tea passed down for five generations to be seen in new ways. We are not just inheriting tea; we are also reimagining it.

It's the same mountain, the same tea garden, but this year's rain, today's wind, and this season's tea leaves are all different. Therefore, tea makers don't truly follow a fixed schedule. They can only observe, smell, touch, and wait, again and again.
Over the years, I've slowly come to understand that a true artisan doesn't make tea overly complicated. Rather, they spend decades learning when to wait a little longer and when to act quickly. This is the essence of Pinlin Baozhong tea, and it's a skill that has been preserved.

A good cup of tea doesn't just come from the land and mountains; it also comes from the tea master's irreplaceable judgments at each stage of the process. From plucking, withering, rolling, to baking, even a slight delay changes the tea. And the most precious thing about that cup of tea is not its intense flavor, but how it allows you to truly be here.

THE DREAM

As a Pinglin native, I've always believed that this land nurtures world-class Baozhong tea. It's just that its story hasn't been properly told to the world yet.
Therefore, I choose to reinterpret Taiwanese tea in a new way, making it more accessible in daily life, transcending language and culture, and understood by the world. The story of tea continues.
